A poem by Paul, written for his son and daughter in law. ❤️
The Miscarriage
O’ young babe who’s never been
Who is died, and yet unseen
Washed away and finished through
What were you going to do?
Whether a lover or warrior be
Or sail the world on foaming seas
Now you wait for mother dear
A long wait of many a year
As you protect her with all your charms
And wait to hold her in your arms
Will you help your young siblings get older
With the powers that you now shoulder
To save your mother from pain again
To give her the health and strength of ten
Should I write more of this sad song
Of your being not being for long
And mourn this worldly woe
If only you’d had a go.
if any you have written a poem, please share it with us (If you feel comfortable doing so).
